It was a privilege to be invited by the Higher Colleges of Technology as a guest speaker for the Webinar “Practicing Gratitude during Ramadan and Beyond”, for Dubai Men’s College students.
Sharing with students the importance of daily positive affirmation, by practicing gratitude starting this Ramadan and continuing after that. Understanding that the purpose of Ramadan is beyond being hungry and thirsty, but about discipline and reflection. One month of restrictions, that open our eyes to eleven months of freedom to have what we want. One month to learn that we can do without a lot of things, that we have the strength to do it, and that we have a lot to be grateful for. Ramadan is a reminder, a physical calibration, and a mental balancing tool. Gratitude is positive affirmation, which helps promote wellbeing and positive mental health. Change your frame of mind.
