I am a passionate psychologist who strongly believes in engaging my clients in their own healing. Providing systematic guidance and equipping my clients with the necessary skills and strategies are therefore mainstays in all my therapies. My education and my diversified clinical and cultural background give me a unique and effective approach to counseling. I use various therapeutic methodologies to provide my clients with tailored treatment plans that fit their individual goals and can be integrated into their daily lives. I am committed to helping my clients build on their existing strengths to overcome mental and behavioral challenges and improve emotional resilience and well-being.

Experience


I trained at Johns Hopkins University in the USA; one of the world’s prominent institutions in the field. I have spent over seventeen years working with the international community in Washington DC and in Dubai. I was one of the founding members of Counseling Arabia Conference, a leading organization that promotes counseling and wellbeing in the Middle East. I have worked with a wide range of patients in various settings. Among my areas of expertise are EMDR, infidelity, PTSD, anxiety, depression, obsessive compulsive behaviors, and trauma. I trained, faculty at various universities, social workers at the Ministry of Education, and delivered workshop in Juvenile Detention Centers.


I have also collaborated with the UAE Ministry of Social Affairs to provide insights in the development of the curriculum for early education and social work programs.


Developed and provided psychosocial workshops for people during crisis and traumatic events under the International War & Peace Report (IWPR-UK) and The Workplace Trauma Center (WTC-US) in countries close to the conflict areas (e.g., Libia, Syria, Lebanon).
